Lakewood Praise and Worship

Jesus be the center.

Welcome by Pastor Joel Osteen.

He introduced Pastor Joseph Prince, Wendy, and  Jessica.

Pastor Prince's Sermon

God wants his son in the center between 2 thieves, in the midst in believers, God wants his Son to be in the center tonight.
Pastor Prince shared about how John Osteen became his model pastor.

John Osteen's dream that Pastor Prince read on a magazine inspired him. In that dream, Jesus told Pastor John Osteen to take down heavy cross and cross started lifting him up. Jesus' burden is easy and light. His ministry is easy and light.

Pastor Prince expounded on Divine Flow taught by Pastor John Osteen.

Romans 5:17 -
17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

We need abundance of Grace and Gift of Righteousness. Righteousness is a gift, not a reward.

The devil naturally attacts Grace and Righteousness.

He will try to make Grace wrong and Righteousness earnable. [paraphrased]

Abraham believed in the LORD and he became God's friend.
Abraham lived before the law. He has relationship with God.
The law makes you self-occuppied, Grace makes you Christ-occuppied.

Abraham was not a perfect man. At 75, he heard God's call so he went all the way south to Egypt. To save his neck, he told Sarah to claim his as her brother. Pharaoh took liking to Sarah and God plagued Pharaoh.

First blessing of Abraham, God made him rich.

Genesus 20:2-7
20 years after, Abimelech took liking of Sarah (about 90 years old) and Abraham
lied again.

Another blessing of Abraham, renewing of youth. Sarah's body was literally renewed in youthfulness and strength.

Abraham lied yet God appeared to Abimelech to rebuke him. The gift of righteousness means
you are righteousness. God will answer your prayers like a righteousness.

We are righteous by faith. Confess that you are righteous by faith.

We are taught that after we sin, we are out of fellowship.
But that is when God talks to you the most. Cain heard God after He murdered his brother.

The gift of righteousness that God has given to you is irreversible.

God grants you everlasting righteousness.

Never judge your standing basing on your performance.

The Law of first mention says if a word is mentioned for the first time it has significant meaning. The first mention of prophet is on Gen 20:2-7

It has got to do with a man who received gift of righteousness.
It is also the first mention of the word healing. Healing involves being righteous by faith.

Jesus Blood has qualified you and me to receive healing.

Many people disqualified themselves mentally.
Condemnation kills.

Abraham was righteous by faith. He prayed for healing to Abimelech because he is righteous by faith.

In the book of Galatians, Paul speaks of double curse to those who preach other Gospel other than the The Gospel of Grace.

Receiving abundance of Grace and gift of Righteousness is an on-going and continuous process. Especially when you sin.

It's interesting how we say, when we are sick we are taught to confess that we are healed.
When we lack money we are taught to confess Jesus' supply. But when we sin we are taught to repent! We should be confessing we are the Righteousness of God.[paraphrased]

Romans 5:19 - Jesus' obedience caused us to become Righteous.

Why did then we have not receive the blessings of Abraham?

Romans 4:13-14
The promise to Abraham and to his seed to be the heir of the world is not through the Law
but through the righteousness of faith.

When you realized that you are righteous by faith, you will see that the promise will be effortless.

Surely Goodness and Mercy shall follow you all the days of your life.

The word mercy is Hesed in Hebrew which means Grace.

Praise the LORD for He is Good (Joel's ministry) and His Mercy (Joseph's ministry) endures forever.

Romans 4:13-14
13 For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14 For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect,

What voids faith in a believers life?
It's trying to earn the fulfillment of the fulfillment of the promise through the law.

Galatians 5:4
When you are trying to be justified by the law, you are fallen from Grace.

Grace is greater than sin.

If we preach the truth, many will received Christ.

2000 years ago, a lonely figure hang on the Cross so that you and me can received the promise.

Because of Christ, God tore the veil and faced us and told us,  "welcome home"

In the Old Testament, God's firey judgment is greater than the sacrifice.
When Jesus was on the Cross, He cried out "It is Finished". The Sacrifice
is greater than God's firey Judgement.

It's all about Him.

Israel Houghton sang Jesus be the Center.

  8. Hi Gracist,

This is not Joseph, the Pastor and the Prince.:) This is Joseph the blogger.:)
I like the name you left in my blog. Gracist is a term I got from Phil Munsey when he interviewed Pastor Prince during his appearance in TBN.

Anyway, for you question, I will try my best to answer it here: http://www.therestfulincrease.com/2011/11/answering-gracists-question-to-pastor.html

  9. Hi Joseph,
Got confused with your identity. I just read the answer you posted and i got reminded of how Jesus came on a donkey. if i was there i think i would have expected Him to come with a jet or something bigger. This made me realize that He did not come to meet our expectations, He came and did more than we could have imagined. Your reply has helped me alot. I sometimes mix the difference between before and after His death. Thanks for clearing that up.
    Be BLESSED

  10. Hi Gracist,
Yeah.. I use yuppietalks and joseph in this blog but for few days now, i have been consistently using Joseph (my real name). Yes you are right, He came and did more than we have imagined.:) We must rightly divide the Word by using Jesus' finished work as a demarcation line between Law and Grace. I'm glad that post helped.:)

    Shalom
    Joseph
